LMR Guitars provides services for guitarists from anything including restringing, cleaning and maintenance to full deluxe set ups and more - we can also change pick ups, pots or wiring if this is something you require.

Deluxe or standard set ups
If your guitar has strings that buzz or sound flat, has poor tuning or intonation or poor action then it probably requires a set up.
A good guitar set up is essential for optimal playability and sound no matter what level you're at as a guitarist - it can impact every aspect of the guitar making it feel, sound and play better.
A poorly set up guitar will not be enjoyable to play and simply won't be capable of delivering the sweet tones you had in mind when you picked it up to play.
As a general rule, your guitar set up should be reviewed at least twice a year. Because your guitar is mostly natural wood and goes through temperature and humidity changes as the seasons change it is prone to expanding, contracting and even warping. But even a good quality brand new guitar will require at least a basic set up to get your guitar playing as it should.
Our basic set up includes:
- Fretboard deep clean
- Guitar body polish
- New strings
- Setting nut slot heights
- Bridge saddle adjustments
- Intonation setting
- Truss rod adjustment (if required)
- Pick up balancing
Basic set up from £50
If your guitar requires more work to bring it back to its full potential then a delux set up would cover everything listed in the basic set up, plus:
- Deep clean of the bridge (removed if requiredl)
- Fret relevelling (if required)
- Fret recrowning (if required)
- Fret polish
- Oil and lubricate as required
Deluxe set up from £75, full quote can be given upon full inspection of the guitar
Please note set ups for floating trem or Floyd Rose style bridges are an additional £15
Other Services
We can also look at issues with electrics, replacement or cleaning of hardware, replacing pick ups, switches and pots or something as simple as replacing rusty screws, cleaning the guitar or changing strings. No job is too small. Just send us a message and we will get back to you.
We never use cheap parts, we never change parts without your request or permission and agreement of specification of replacement parts.
We do not hold stock of replacement parts because these are often specific to the instrument itself or the guitarists requests, it will always be quicker to provide us with the elements you wish to replace rather than us having to order them, but we understand that knowing what to order can be confusing at times and will be happy to provide assistance here if required.
